OPPORTUNITY SMELLS

"Newt Gingrich has called for the dismissal of Attorney General Gonzales. He calls the non-scandal over the firing of eight U.S. attorneys "the most mishandled, artificial, self-created mess that I can remember in the years I’ve been active in public life."

Although Gonzales certainly mishandled the matter, Gingrich's claim is a gross exaggeration. If he really believes what he's saying, then the former Speaker has been unduly influenced by the huffing and puffing of the Senate Democrats and their friends in the liberal media...

...If the president has lost confidence in Gonzales, he should replace him. If real misconduct is uncovered in connection with the eight firings, Bush must replace him. But there's nothing to be gained by preemptive surrender to the Democrats."

Some see the former Speaker as an ideal Conservative Leader.

Greatly appreciate most of Newt's Conservative advocation, but have no desire to see this Man seek the Presidency.

The former Speaker suddenly grabbed onto the complex Immigration Issue in 2005. He rushed out to offer more gas for the fire, competing to be more anti-illegal immigration than all others.

The reality is, Mr. Gingrich did NOTHING about illegal immigration in the 1990's, when he had a sincere chance.

Former Speaker Gingrich didn't recognize the sincere threat of Radical Muslim Militancy either. (Mournfully, few did.)

The attack on the WTC in 1993 was a pivotal moment in US History, and sadly the Clinton Administration negligently ignored the serious threat of Islamic Terrorism afterwards.

Mr. Gingrich could have been a hero, advocating for needed laws to strengthen US National Security and Our Intelligence Capability, to protect Americans against this growing danger.

Even Immigration Reform in the early 1990's, may have prevented Terrorists from entering Our Country...

Incredibly, the Clintons, Torricellis, Gorelicks, and Renos were actually working in the opposite fashion, actively undermining the various tools to defend the USA.

Who knows if 9-11 could have been prevented, if this Nation's Guard had not been so shamelessly weakened...

So many missed opportunities were completely lost, during those 8 deceitful years overwhelmed by Clintonia.

Mr. Gingrich is not immune from some responsibility, in failing to organize and advocate for the needed protection of a safer American Environment, after Radical Militants around the Globe declared War on the USA.

Newt Gingrich intensely advocated for the use of force to remove Saddam after 9-11. Only to abandon the Bush Administration, after the MSM and Partisan Democrats pushed the admirable endeavor into unpopular territory.

Mr. Gingrich turned to the same weak excuse as a number of other Elite Conservatives, to distance himself from the difficulties with this challenging Mission in Iraq. Instead of a strong, reasoned, resolute defense of this worthy engagement, Newt Gingrich decided to follow a number of fashionable cynics, meekly ceding THOSE who bravely implemented their publicly advocated policy, to imagined 'mistakes'.

It is remarkable to see those with such a wealth of knowledge, ignore the historical context of such difficult and essential Military Operations.

It is regretful...

This poster understands frustrations, but grows tired seeing misguided personal agenda, especially coming from Conservatives.

Beware of someone trying to profit from the 'imperfect' actions of their own company, who blows with the wind, trying to capitalize on the latest blaze.
