PATHETIC

Wimpy Wimpy

OH MY OH MY

“From the part of Hillary’s proposal, the part that really baffles me is, ‘We’re going to teach the Iraqis a lesson.’ We’re not going to equip them? O.K. Cap our troops and withdraw support from the Iraqis? That’s a real good idea.”

The result of Mrs. Clinton’s position on Iraq, Mr. Biden says, would be “nothing but disaster.”

Most early polls show Mrs. Clinton as the party’s clear front-runner. Mr. Biden, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, is firmly in the thick of a pack of third-tier candidates. Still, he thinks that at such a precarious point in the nation’s history, voters are seeking someone with his level of experience to take the helm.

“Are they going to turn to Hillary Clinton?” Biden asked, lowering his voice to a hush to explain why Mrs. Clinton won’t win the election.

“Everyone in the world knows her,” he said. “Her husband has used every single legitimate tool in his behalf to lock people in, shut people down. Legitimate. And she can’t break out of 30 percent for a choice for Democrats? Where do you want to be? Do you want to be in a place where 100 percent of the Democrats know you? They’ve looked at you for the last three years. And four out of 10 is the max you can get?”

Mr. Biden is equally skeptical—albeit in a slightly more backhanded way—about Mr. Obama. “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” he said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

But—and the “but” was clearly inevitable—he doubts whether American voters are going to elect “a one-term, a guy who has served for four years in the Senate,” and added: “I don’t recall hearing a word from Barack about a plan or a tactic.”

Just Another Nuisance?

Reid's Whitewater

Voters looking for clues as to how — or, more to the point, whether — the Democrats are going to redeem their issue of honesty and integrity on Capitol Hill will be keeping an eye on the growing scandal around the majority leader in the Senate, Harry Reid. He is caught up in a corker of a controversy over a questionable land deal.

One might think that after all the legal fees and energy the Clintons spent defending Whitewater, a top Democratic politician would know better than to get into a complicated, questionable land deal. But the message doesn't seem to have reached Mr. Reid, who is the subject of a fascinating dispatch in Sunday's Los Angeles Times.

The Times' dispatch, from Bullhead City, Ariz., begins, "It's hard to buy undeveloped land in booming northern Arizona for $166 an acre. But now-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid effectively did just that when a longtime friend decided to sell property owned by the employee pension fund that he controlled. In 2002, Reid (D-Nev.) paid $10,000 to a pension fund controlled by Clair Haycock, a Las Vegas lubricants distributor and his friend for 50 years. The payment gave the senator full control of a 160-acre parcel in Bullhead City that Reid and the pension fund had jointly owned.

"Reid's price for the equivalent of 60 acres of undeveloped desert was less than one-tenth of the value the assessor placed on it at the time. Six months after the deal closed, Reid introduced legislation to address the plight of lubricants dealers." And that's not all. The newspaper reports that "since taking full control of the parcel in 2002, Reid has pushed for federal funding for a new bridge over the Colorado River a few miles from his property."

SUPER DIDDOS BUMP:
She's Lying: Hillary '07 vs. Hillary '03

'RUSH: Yay! This is an outright lie. This is a total mischaracterization. We all know why. It is designed to get her over the hump, so to speak, of this problem that she has, that she voted for the war.'

Hillary boldly lies to all again...
Will the Libs buy it once more?

The mighty Sweetness & Light shows the Cult of Code Pink:

Such fun, a few weeks before Operation of Iraqi Freedom.

Ironic, to see Hillary's strident support to remove Saddam:
'With respect to whose responsibility it is to disarm Saddam Hussein. I just do not believe that given the attitudes of many people in the world community today that there would be a willingness to take on very difficult problems were it not for the United States leadership.'

'Be for it, before you are against it...'

Hillary now predictably lies, about her vote to authorize force:
'CBS: "You were among those who advocated going to war in Iraq...

Clinton [indulging in some creative revisionism]: "I did not advocate that. I voted to give the president authority to have the United States congress behind him when he went to the U.N. To put inspectors back in to figure out what Saddam Hussein had. That would not have been the choice, in my opinion, that we should have pursued at that time. But I thought it was reasonable to give him that authority."'

The unethical Clintons never change.

Ms. Rodham's belly may have grown larger, along with her cravings for power, but she will still 'say anything' to try to further herself.

Even if it means abandoning millions in Iraq fighting for freedom...

Such wimpy leadership, blowing with the wacko winds.

Thank You GOP

Kudos To Mr. Beck

BECK: 'Wow, an international pariah. Look who got a thesaurus. You did, yes. You know what, John Kerry, I am -- I`m ashamed. I`m ashamed of you. And I hope Massachusetts is, as well.

Once again, to question the actions of your government is fine. In fact, it is your responsibility as an American to speak out against something that you believe in or don`t believe in, even if you endorsed it and helped set those actions into motion.

What isn`t fine in my book is doing so for political purposes or because you`re still living in the 1960s and fighting the Vietnam War. It is especially vulgar to do it in another country, especially in front of those sympathetic to Iran.

In case you haven`t forgotten, senator, Iran, the bad guys here. They`re the reason, I believe, we went into Iraq in the first place. But none of you clowns in Washington will admit it. If you want to clean things up, that`s one thing. But have the common decency not to air our dirty laundry while you`re away from home.

So tonight, here`s what I know. Thomas Jefferson said something that really changed my life. He said, when it comes to questioning, question even the existence of God, for he would rather prefer reason to blindfolded fear. I have always taken that as a celebration of questioning everything in our country, the policies of our government included.

As a people, we are at our very best when we stand up and protest or we question whether or not American men or women should give their lives in war. However, we`re at our very worst when we allow our leaders to do so only when it is politically convenient.'

Her Royal Chill:
'The vaulting ambition of America's Lady Macbeth: As you consider her career this past 15 years or so in the public spotlight, it is impossible not to be struck, and even impressed, by the sheer ruthless, unapologetic, unshameable way in which she has pursued this ambition, and confirmed that there is literally nothing she will not do, say, think or feel to achieve it. Here, finally, is someone who has taken the black arts of the politician’s trade, the dissembling, the trimming, the pandering, all the way to their logical conclusion.

To grasp the scale of the transfiguration, it is necessary only to consider the very moment it began. The turning point in her political fortunes was the day her husband soiled his office and a certain blue dress. In that Monica Lewinsky moment, all the public outrage and contempt for the sheer tawdriness of it all was brilliantly rerouted and channelled to the direct benefit of Mrs Clinton, who immediately began a campaign for the Senate.'

Dick Cheney: "Wolf. Wolf. I simply don’t accept the premise of your question. I just think it’s hogwash."

Blitzer: "That what? That there were no blunders? The President himself says there were blunders."

Cheney: "Remember me. Remember with me what happened in Afghanistan. The United States was actively involved in Afghanistan in the ‘80s, supporting the effort against the Soviets. The Mujahideen prevailed and everybody walked away. And in Afghanistan with in relatively short order, the Taliban came to power. They created a safe haven for al Qaeda. Training camps were established where some 20,000 terrorists trained in the late ‘90s. And out of that– Out of Afghanistan because we walked away and ignored it, we had the attack on the USS Cole, the attack on the embassies in East Africa and 9/11 where the people trained and planned in Afghanistan for that attack and killed 3,000 Americans. That is what happens when we walk away from a situation like that in the Middle East."

Blitzer: "But there were– But there were blunders--"

Cheney: "We might have been– We might have been able to do that before 9/11. But after 9/11, we learned that we have a vested interest in what happens on the ground in the Middle East. Now, if you are going to walk away from Iraq today and say, ‘Well, gee, it's too tough, We can't complete the task, we just are going to quit,’ you'll create exactly that same kind of situation again. Now, the critics have not suggested a policy. They haven't put anything in place. All they want to do, all they’ve recommended is to redeploy or withdraw our forces. The fact is, we can complete the task in Iraq. We're going to do it. We've got Petraeus, General Petraeus taking over. It is a good strategy. It will work. But we have to have the stomach to finish the task."

Blitzer: "What if the Senate pass a resolution saying this is not a good idea. Will that stop you?"

Cheney: "It won't stop us and it would be, I think, detrimental from the standpoint of the troops. As General Petraeus said yesterday, he was asked by Joe Lieberman, among others, in his testimony about this notion that somehow the Senate could vote overwhelmingly for him, send him on his new assignment and then pass a resolution at the same time and say but we don't agree with the mission you've been given."

Isn't nice to see a serious adult in Washington?
'Our enemies are quite explicit about their intentions. They want to overthrow moderate governments and establish safe havens from which to plan and carry out new attacks on our country. By killing and terrorizing Americans, they want to force our country to retreat from the world and abandon the cause of liberty. They would then be free to impose their will and spread their totalitarian ideology. Listen to this warning from the late terrorist Zarqawi: "We will sacrifice our blood and bodies to put an end to your dreams, and what is coming is even worse." And Usama bin Laden declared: "Death is better than living on this Earth with the unbelievers among us."

These men are not given to idle words, and they are just one camp in the Islamist radical movement. In recent times, it has also become clear that we face an escalating danger from Shia extremists who are just as hostile to America, and are also determined to dominate the Middle East. Many are known to take direction from the regime in Iran, which is funding and arming terrorists like Hezbollah — a group second only to Al Qaeda in the American lives it has taken.

The Shia and Sunni extremists are different faces of the same totalitarian threat. But whatever slogans they chant, when they slaughter the innocent, they have the same wicked purposes. They want to kill Americans ... kill democracy in the Middle East ... and gain the weapons to kill on an even more horrific scale.

In the 6th year since our Nation was attacked, I wish I could report to you that the dangers have ended. They have not. And so it remains the policy of this Government to use every lawful and proper tool of intelligence, diplomacy, law enforcement, and military action to do our duty, to find these enemies, and to protect the American people.'

Resolve, strength, guts, character, decency, honesty, reason...

This Man is still a Leader amongst the weak, the lost, the tired, the mindless, the corrupt, the unethical, and the deeply confused.

Update: the mighty Mr. Hewitt...
"As I watched the Democrats last night I knew - again - that the country will not 'come together' over the necessity of victory. My friend the officer wrote below of the enormous tragedies and dislocations that would follow in the wake of our withdrawal from the region (including a Turkey-Kurdistan war that destabilizes NATO) but the ears of the Democrats are closed. All they can think of is wounding Bush, and attempting to discredit his legacy that they must realize is secure far beyond their maneuvers, which seems only to madden them more.

This deep derangement of a major political party is unique in American history --not even the southern Democrats of 1860 acted out of Lincoln-hatred when they split the Union, but out of a deeply misguided political theory and the desperation that economic and cultural attachment to slavery had bred.

This modern Democratic Party is almost all fury, a fury fueled by a collective though suppressed understanding that the holocaust of southeast Asia in the late '70s and the vulnerability of America on 9/11 are both burdens at their party's door. Watching their replay of the Vietnam-era tape means that there will be no "debate" on the war, simply the choosing of sides. Republicans who side with the Democrats on this the most important issue of the day should lose the support of their party."

If you believed there was no possible way, Hillary Clinton could be inserted more into the daily lives of Americans, you were mistaken.

Hillary is everywhere...

Every channel, every paper, every station:
“Is it any kind of a burden for you, Senator, that so many opinions are pre-formed? Americans know Hillary Rodham Clinton.”

Is this Rodham Mania?

Or is the hysteria, some form of psychosis?
"It might be easier to get an audience with the Wizard and of Oz than steal Clinton's thunder right now. Whether Democrat or Republican, others who are after the job found themselves scrambling to acknowledge her dominance without coming across as irrelevant."

Are you ready for this?
"I'm not just starting a campaign, though, I'm beginning a conversation with you, with America," she said. "Let's talk. Let's chat. The conversation in Washington has been just a little one-sided lately, don't you think?"

The Comedians Continue

Just moments after Hillary's tired facade...

Pelosi, Reid, and Mondale produced more farcical nonsense...

"The president knows that because the troops are in harm's way that we won't cut off the resources," Pelosi, head of the Democratic-led House, told ABC's "Good Morning America. "That's why he's moving so quickly to put them in harm's way."

Saying Democrats were waging a "sound-bite war," White House spokeswoman Dana Perino fired back: "Questioning the president's motivations and suggesting that he for some political reason is rushing troops into harm's way is not appropriate, it is not correct and it is unfortunate."

These days, everytime a Democrat Partisan opens their mouth, they seem to intentionally slander the Bush Administration.

This nonstop undermining must be greatly appreciated by the various Anti-USA Militants around the Globe.

If only the Democrat Partisans could pause for a breath or two, to direct a little of this vicious negativity towards the Terrorists.

Remember, those Monsters working night and day, trying desperately to kill more Americans?

The Clinton Campaign

Hillary's team questions Obama's Muslim background?
Are the American people ready for an elected president who was educated in a Madrassa as a young boy and has not been forthcoming about his Muslim heritage?

This is the question Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s camp is asking about Sen. Barack Obama.

Sources said the background check, conducted by researchers connected to Senator Clinton, disclosed details of Mr. Obama's Muslim past. The sources said the Clinton camp concluded the Illinois Democrat concealed his prior Muslim faith and education.

"The background investigation will provide major ammunition to his opponents," the source said. "The idea is to show Obama as deceptive."

A little comedy for a Friday.

Did someone mistake 'researchers' for a firing squad?

This truly takes the cake...

Clintonites claim a political opponent is weak for being 'deceptive'.

Ha, ha, ha...

All the while, trying to exploit Sen. Obama's religious background.
How inclusive and understanding for such enlightened progressives.

The 'deceptive' manipulation is taken to new levels.

The most unethical in our public arena today
, busy working to debase one of their own, for personal political gain.

Do Liberal Democrats ever run on a positive agenda these days?

Ironically, with today's Democrat Party, it could help Barack Obama.

The DNC faithful, seem to crave dishonesty.

The Democrat Agenda

The national security debate over giving illegal immigrants driver's licenses is heating up in New York, as Governor Spitzer considers throwing out a Pataki-era policy requiring applicants to submit valid Social Security numbers.

During last year's gubernatorial campaign, Mr. Spitzer said he would permit illegal immigrants to obtain driver's licenses, arguing that banning them from driving worsened the lives of hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers without improving security. Mr. Spitzer's position came under fire from his Republican opponent, John Faso, but the governor has said little about the issue since.

Now, one New York group, the Coalition for a Secure Driver's License, says the governor is poised to repeal Governor Pataki's order and is urging the governor to reconsider changing a policy that it says is helping to thwart terrorist attacks.

"The 9/11 Commission pointed out that the 19 terrorists had at least 35 licenses," a board member of the coalition who lost his 23-year-old son in the World Trade Center attack, Peter Gadiel, said. "These licenses were the keys that enabled them to rent cars and open bank accounts, get credits cards, and buy flight lessons. It gave them everything they needed to plan, rehearse, and carry out their attacks."

COMPLETELY MINDLESS

'Do you personally want the Iraq plan President
Bush announced last week to succeed?'

Here are the results:
Overall: 63% Yes 22% No 15% Don’t Know
Democrats: 51% Yes 34% No 15% Don’t Know
Republicans: 79% Yes 11% No 10% Don’t Know
Independents 63% Yes 19% No 17% Don’t Know

'Even though we have some 150,000 troops in harm’s way and we universally profess to “support the troops,” over 1/3 of our society either wants them to fail or doesn’t know if they want them to succeed. Even more chilling are the results regarding our currently dominant political party. 49% of Democrats either want us to lose in Iraq or “don’t know” if they want us to succeed.'

Can you imagine anyone considering such a poll in 1942?

Sickening to consider...
It is simply very sad.

Isn't the 'drive by' MSM doing such a wonderful job?

These foolish Democrat Partisans have manipulated the Liberation of the Oppressed, and the battle against Radical Muslim Tyrants, into something some wish to resent.

All because of their Liberal bigotry for a Republican President, and an unethical greed for power.

Perhaps, a form of insanity has affected all sides of the spectrum. Now some are engaged in a form of self serving vanity, hoping to see this President, or the USA, suffer a defeat.

Too blind to see the horrid consequences, of such a potential tragedy.

Did they believe Nancy Pelosi's vivid deceit?
'The "Best Spin of the Year": Democrats saying Iraq is not part of the war on terror. They sold this idea, which allowed them to be against the war in Iraq before the war on terror. In truth, Iraq is part of the war on terror.'

Maybe the bitter are so jaded, with disappointment in life, it is clouding their judgment.

But it only reminds everyone, how easy it is for human beings, to lose context of the brutal alternatives.

Al Qaeda must be thrilled.

SAY ANYTHING

Hillary Rodham offered more of the old song and dance today...

Another Clintonian version of the Kerry Flop, weakly calling for the USA to 'run away', in a slightly measured manner:
'The United States should cap the number of troops in Iraq, while increasing American forces in Afghanistan, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday.'

What is most amusing, her simplistic effort, did not seem to make any real waves. Perhaps when you flip & flop repeatedly, you reduce the your ability to make a splash.

The tired effort in self interst today, created far less buzz, than Sen. Barack Obama did the day before. Ms. Rodham's many appearances on various TV Stations, didn't compare to the chatter created by Barack Hussein Jr's website video. In fact, most coverage of Sen. Clinton's blatant attempt to appease Liberal Democrats today, included even more references to Sen. Obama.

The mighty NB has the video here:
Here's Hillary's idea of diplomacy: bend to her will, or she'll put your life in danger. And that's how she treats our allies.

"I [suggest] putting leverage on them and saying 'you know what, we provide security for the members of this government, we're cutting funding for that.'"

The ugly display is no surprise...

What does Hillary Rodham mean by 'redeploy' anyhow?

Does Mrs. Clinton want the mighty US Armed Forces, to help her Nationalize Health Care in the United States?

It isn't new, watching those in the MSM, fail to seriously consider the basis of Hillary's conjecture. She has profited on a mythic image, created by biased Media Elites, (just as they managed the perception of Bill Clinton, for their own political interests).

Perhaps most interesting, it seems Hillary will be facing a sincere primary challenge, something she personally has never encountered.

'Hillary Clinton will do what she and her husband have always done. When they speak of the politics of personal destruction, they aren't really complaining of how they're being treated. Psychologists call this "projection." When they speak of it, the Clintons are talking about another fundamental element of their politics.'

Or is the Obama hype, Edwards interest, Biden ambition, Dodd curiosity, merely a strategic Democrat plan of varied degrees?

We shall see...

Regardless, the Code Pinkos are driving the Democrat Party.

When Cindy speaks, Hillary and Company, listen...

Millions of lives in the Middle East, the Future of the Free World, are of no relevance when it comes to the personal ambition of Hillary Rodham Clinton or the Democrat Party.

Ramifications From November 2006

'Bush signed the law last year and the Republican - controlled Congress provided money to start work on the fence. But Republicans worry that now they have lost their majority on Capitol Hill, they never will see the fence built. Democrats in charge today generally oppose the fence.

Based on the comments of some Democrats, there is no rush.

Rep. Bennie Thompson (news, bio, voting record), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, said he wants the Bush administration to offer a plan for securing the northern and southern borders.

"My preference is to delay the construction of a fence until we have a plan," said Thompson, D-Miss.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (news, bio, voting record), D-Md., said this week Democrats want "the best possible way" to secure the border.

Hoyer voted against the fence last year, as did House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.'

Not To Be Missed

"The terrorists we face over here are stone-cold killers. They would kill their own if it means they get to propagate their hate and evil. And, they are evil in every sense of the word. They are not misunderstood, they are not the misforgotten, etc. They do know who they are. Many terrorists come from a world of privilege, more privilege than many of their kinfolk.

President Bush has done his absolute best. He’s the right man for the time. This is not an easy war by any means a stretch of the imagination. We do put in very long days and very, very short nights. Sometimes we see very good results, sometimes the results aren’t so good. War by nature is very messy. While we do our best to plan for contingencies, we adjust accordingly. With regard to the Vice President and former SecDef Rumsfeld, they’ve been the best to us.

They understand the stakes, and this is most important … not the political usefulness. You want people in leadership positions who understand the stakes, willing to make the hard decisions, and take responsibility regardless of the situation. The Vice President and Rumsfeld are such people. But, this is a point that can be argued at another time and by others."

THE 'RACE' TO UNDERMINE

Mr. Edwards also called on fellow Democrats to support the immediate withdrawal of 50,000 troops.

In making his speech, Mr. Edwards staked out antiwar turf in the nascent Democratic presidential primary contest while challenging others to do the same - most notably Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York, who also voted to authorize military action in Iraq in 2002 but has yet to take a position on legislative options like withholding money. She visited Iraq on Saturday to speak with military commanders, and plans to explain her views in fuller detail when she returns Tuesday.

Howard Wolfson, a senior adviser to Senator Clinton, criticized Mr. Edwards’s remarks by taking aim at the former senator’s image, promoted by aides during the last presidential election, as an optimistic and unifying figure.

“In 2004 John Edwards used to constantly brag about running a positive campaign,” Mr. Wolfson said. “Today, he has unfortunately chosen to open his campaign with political attacks on Democrats who are fighting the Bush administration’s Iraq policy.”

Fighting a policy they endorsed?

They voted to authorize the use of force in Iraq, because they believed it was in their best political interest only a few years ago.

Nothing has changed...

We see these Democrats scramble to 'fight' ('undermine') the efforts and interests of the Bush Administration, the United States, the free Iraqi People, for their own opportunistic endeavors.

Getting Warmer

A little global warming?
Recent US operations against Iranian interests in Iraq appear to signal a shift by Washington towards unilateral action after growing frustated with slow-moving UN diplomacy.

"We have had a strategy toward Iran, I think, that has been evolving to deal with the serious problems that Iran is causing," Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said in remarks released Saturday by the State Department...

US administration officials now describe Iran as the single greatest threat the United States faces in the Middle East.

...The US battled for months to overcome resistance from China and Russia to impose sanctions on Iran for its refusal to suspend uranium-enrichment activities.

A Security Council resolution finally was passed on December 23, but the sanctions imposed were far weaker than those sought by Washington.

The first sign that Washington would act alone came from the US Treasury, which has barred two Iranian banks since September and pressured global financial firms to break their ties with Iran.

"We're going to keep designating Iranian banks," Rice said en route to the region.

The Children At Play

Taxation without ethical, rationale, mature representation.

Becoming more amusing by the minute...

From the all powerful Mr. Drudge:
'So while the House has been in session for almost 48 hours since the 110th Congress was sworn in Jan. 4, the clock on Pelosi's Web site says only 17 hours 48 minutes have elapsed.'

Democrats will even lie about this?

OUTRAGE

Democrats sink lower...
'"You're not going to pay a particular price, as I understand it, with an immediate family."

Breathtaking.
Simply breathtaking.
We scarcely know where to begin.

The junior senator from California ap parently believes that an accom plished, seasoned diplomat, a renowned scholar and an adviser to two presidents like Condoleezza Rice is not fully qualified to make policy at the highest levels of the American government because she is a single, childless woman.

It's hard to imagine the firestorm that similar comments would have ignited, coming from a Republican to a Democrat, or from a man to a woman, in the United States Senate. (Surely the Associated Press would have put the observation a bit higher than the 18th paragraph of a routine dispatch from Washington.)

But put that aside.

The vapidity - the sheer mindlessness - of Sen. Boxer's assertion makes it clear that the next two years are going to be a time of bitterness and rancor, marked by pettiness of spirit and political self-indulgence of a sort not seen in America for a very long time.'

Simply pathetic.

The amazing Sweetness & Light:
'Wives Of Castro’s Prisoners Beg Cindy Sheehan For Help'

Oh my, the sad irony...

The Cindy-Confused-Code-Pink Folly is visiting Cuba, trying to free Radical Islamic Terrorists, and the truly oppressed Prisoners of Castro's Cuba, are now stealing the show.

The big question remains, who is funding Cindy and Friends?

Chavez, Gore, Pelosi?

THE KING

'A War of Endurance'

'One, we can withdraw ground troops and return to punitive and conventional bombing — tit-for-tat retaliation for each attack in the future. That way, the United States stays distant and smacks the jihadists on their home bases below. Few Americans die; terrorists sometimes do. The bored media stay more concentrated on the terrorists' provocations, not on our standoff response from 30,000 feet in the clouds.

Or American forces, at great danger, can continue to change the political and economic structure of the Middle East in hopes of fostering constitutional governments that might curb terrorism for generations. This current engagement demands our soldiers fight jihadists on their vicious turf, but by our humanitarian rules. For this, we must pay the ensuing human and materiel price - all broadcast live on the evening news.'

The Party Of Taxation

'One of the first key procedural votes in the Democrat-controlled House last week established legislative rules that Republicans say will make it easier to raise taxes by a simple majority vote.

The straight party-line vote received little attention Thursday as Rep. Nancy Pelosi, California Democrat, was elected speaker of the House. But Republican leaders and conservative tax-cut advocates said it opened up a huge loophole in a Republican-imposed rule drawn from the Republicans' 1994 Contract with America, which requires a supermajority, or three-fifths vote, to raise taxes.

Democrats unanimously voted down a motion offered by Minority Leader John A. Boehner of Ohio that would have prevented them from waiving the rule, a move that tax-cutters said signaled the Democrats' intention to raise taxes between now and the 2008 elections.'

Getting ready to 'take things away' from the American Public...

Regardless of need, or sound policy, Liberal Democrats are simply addicted to high taxation.

Making a monopoly in government, creating waste, killing incentive, crushing growth, growing unemployment, building dependency, ruining opportunity, etc...

The Liberal Folly continues.

The Liberal Agenda

"The Spitzer administration moved to reassure gay-rights advocates that it wasn't backing down from a campaign promise to support a same-sex marriage bill. The governor did not address the issue specifically in his 61-minute State of the State address on Wednesday."

Don't 'liberals' have respect for other beliefs, cultures, religions, who treasure this historic institution called 'marriage', as being between a Man and a Woman?

On the other hand, will this Liberal Democrat, now Governor Eliot Spitzer, break his promise NOT to raise New York Taxes?

Sacré Bleu...

'Questions are being raised about plans to create a satellite of the Louvre in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and to establish an outpost of the Georges Pompidou Center in Shanghai. Critics have accused President Jacques Chirac of using the country’s museums to promote France’s political and commercial interests abroad.

“Museums are not for sale,” proclaimed the headline of an opinion article in Le Monde on Dec. 13 signed by three heavyweights of the French art world, Françoise Cachin, former director of French museums; Jean Clair, former director of the Picasso Museum; and Roland Recht, a leading art historian.

“From a moral point of view,” the authors wrote, “one can only be shocked by the commercial and promotional use of masterpieces of our national heritage.” France should lend works of art, they said, but without charge. “Objects of our heritage are not consumer goods,” they added. “And to protect them is to guarantee their universal value for tomorrow.”

A French art Web site, La Tribune de l’Art (latribunedelart.com), quickly organized a petition endorsing Le Monde’s article and demanding “preservation of the integrity of the collections of the French museums.”

The government is at the center of the dispute because, unlike most major cultural institutions in the United States, France’s national museums are government owned and heavily subsidized. The Culture Ministry appoints their directors and has the last word on major policy decisions.'

THE BIG LIE

'BARNES: All right. The "Best Spin of the Year": Democrats saying Iraq is not part of the war on terror. They sold this idea, which allowed them to be against the war in Iraq before the war on terror. In truth, Iraq is part of the war on terror.

KONDRACKE: Well, the corollary what the Democrats say is that if we lose in Iraq, we're not going to lose in the war on terror. Some Democratic president may rue the day that they made that point, because they go together.'

As the the Democrats take control of the House, it is important to remember how they got there. Constant undermining for a policy the vast Majority of the elected Democrats voted to endorse, aided by an unethical MSM who promoted endless deceit.

"No matter how many times the president wants to say it, the war in Iraq is not the war on terror..."

The liberals were led by Nancy 'Plastic' Pelosi, who boldly lied to the American Public about the battle in Iraq. Of course, Liberal Democrats have been dishonest about everything, including this fine economy. But the primary manipulation regarding the GWOT, was the most damaging and regretful.

This became even more comical, as al Qaeda repeatedly reminded everyone, about their violent efforts in Iraq.

There is little doubt, the Liberals were aided by a number of misguided Americans, who lost sight of the big picture, this essential struggle against Radical Muslim Militants.

With 9-11 becoming a faint memory, a healthy economy, and several years of safety at Home, it became hard for those not paying attention, to see the sincere need for the sacrifice in Iraq.

Others, became obsessed with the local, abandoning the very President who led so bravely after 9-11. President Bush, a symbol of Liberal hatred for all Conservatives, became vilified by many seeking an impossible perfection. Ironically, in the end, many empowered the corrupt Liberal Agenda they actually oppose.

Certainly, a vast number of Democrat Partisans, actually believe Iraq has nothing to do with this Global War against Militant Radical Muslims. Could this incoming Speaker of the US House, the first Woman in this historic position, be this ignorant?

Regardless, to one's opinions about the need to remove a Monster named 'Saddam', Iraq is now central to the GWOT.

It was appparent, the Democrat Party and their Partisan Support in the MSM, cared little for the future of the formerly oppressed People of Iraq and Afghanistan. Sadly, the greed for power seems more important to Liberal Democrats, than the future of the Arab Region, and the security of the Free World.

This demeaning agenda for personal gain, became ironically offensive, as Anti-US forces began to mimic the expression of the Democrat Party. Eventually, it reached absurdity, seeing Terrorists around the World openly advocate for the election of Democrats.

In fact, some of these Militant Muslim Radicals, actually believed the Democrats regaining control of Congress was a victory for terror.

"The first is that you aren't the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen - the Muslim Ummah's vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq - are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost," - Ayman al Zawahri

We can only hope, these Terrorists are wrong again...

UPDATE: The mighty ANCHORESS contemplates the vivid deceit in our Political Environment (not to be missed):
"Lies, all lies, and bad, intelligence-insulting lies to boot. We put up with them. Well, let’s face it, maybe some of us are stupid enough, maleable enough or disinterested enough to make the easy lie so profitable a tool for modern politicians."

A Positive Start To The New Year

The incredible Men of Powerline bring New Years Tidings:
"The last stronghold of the Islamist rebels in Somalia, the town of Kismayo, has fallen. The victory may yield an unexpected prize: three Islamic terrorists who are believed to be responsible for the embassy bombings of 1998. Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi says, "If we capture them alive we will hand them over to the United States."

Islamist rebels are fleeing, and the government of Somalia is calling on the U.S. for air and sea surveillance to prevent them from escaping."

The Clinton Legacy of failure in Somalia, may now be changing...

More insight from the mighty Captain:
"The Islamists can expect no peace, however. The Ethiopian air force scoured the coast for Islamists attempting to reach the harbors of Kenya, specifically Ras Kamboni, where they have a center of operations. The collapse of their hold in Somalia has punctured the myth of invincibility of these supposed holy warriors and exposed as lies their pledges to fight to the death to hold the ummah. Now that they have shown their true colors, the armies of Kenya and Ethiopia will have little trouble wiping up what's left of the terrorist and tyrranous Arab and South Asian militias."

One must wonder about the involvement of the Bush Administration. Just how much encouragement did the USA provide, to the recent military efforts of Ethiopia into Somalia?

Perhaps we will know in 20 years...

The MSM will be busy trying to criminalize the execution of Saddam, and force the US defeat in Iraq. But Liberals, will probably claim someday, the defeat of Islamic Radicals in Somalia, was just another conpiratorial 'coup' conducted by those evil Republicans for Oil.

Regardless, this Administration has wisely fostered US particpation and presence around the Globe, ever since the 9-11 tragedy.

President Bush is leading, by funding the fight againt AIDS in Africa:
'$500 million to Global HIV/AIDS Fund, first and largest contributor.'
The Bush Administration also has the highest level of engagement of any Administration within the African Region in US History.

But the primary motive might be the essential GWOT...

"Bush has another reason to prioritize African aid, which we have seen in the Horn region. The instability of Africa and its inability to feed itself has allowed radical Islamists to gain a toehold on the continent. Just like any parasitic infection, the weak state of African nations allow the radical Islamists to gain support by blaming everyone but themselves for their sorry state. Eliminating hunger and pandemics will help stabilize the continents, and the clearest manner in which to gain both is to promote market economics, private property rights, and representative democracy, all of which Africa has lacked."

Many isolationists, reactionaries, balk at US involvement beyond Military Force to target threats. Liberals often mistake investment, influence, for imperialism and control. Democrat Partisans remain too blinded by their bigotry for Republicans, to grasp the sincere threat of these Militant Islamisists.

So many are failing to see the larger picture...

The reality is, as 9-11 clearly demonstrated, the modern World is far too small to allow National Security to end at the border. Merely building fences is never going to ensure a safe, secure, free, prosperous future.

The building of sound Alliances in this GWOT is essential.
The Radical Muslim Militancy must be stopped.
Good news for the beginning of 2007...
